Criminal Law

criminal matters The criminal department at McKeag & Co is a very long established department and was formerly headed by Donald Clive McKeag who has undertaken serious criminal matters in excess of 50 years. Although Mr McKeag continues to work for us as a Consultant, Denise Jackman and Judith Curry now primarily deal with all criminal matters covering the very minor road traffic offences and other petty offences such as theft and criminal damage which are usually dealt with by the Magistrates’ Court to the most serious offences such as murder, assault and arson which will be dealt with the Crown Court.

We have an excellent reputation for providing high quality legal representation to our clients and once instructed we will take your instructions and we will provide guidance to you. Our solicitors have a wealth of experience and attend court on a daily basis to represent clients.

The usual situation in relation to criminal matters is that they commence with an arrest by the police and you will be taken to a police station. We operate a service whereby we attend police stations dealing with clients under arrest. This service is available to clients 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.

If you require the services of a solicitor in connection with a criminal matter please do not hesitate to contact us on our office or emergency number.
